After listening to audience feedback on our initial ideas and researching trailers in our specific genre a little further, we made some quite substantial changes to our storyboard:
- We added in many new shots as we realised we didn't have enough shots to create the kind of pace we needed and that they lacked in variety
- In particular, we added in more shots of suspicious behaviour by the main suspects and of Lucy seeming to be in danger to help pick up the pace and create more suspence at the end
- We created a third suspect, the school counsellor, as we felt that our murderer was too obvious
- We added more dialogue as feedback suggested our plot is quite confusing so extra dialogue helps to make the situation / relationships clearer
- We added more detail to the dream / hallucination sequences so that we can distort them more to make them look more creepy
- We have also considered what we can do to replace the tattoo that identifies the teacher as the murderer as this might be difficult to achieve. We are considering asking the actor to wear a distinctive watch or ring to achieve the same effect.
