We were asked to use Photoshop for the first time to make a print product. We made a poster for the film we had made an opening sequence for in our AS coursework. We were allowed to be flexible in our interpretation and to take the film in different directions and styles, which you can see we did here. The main aim was to become familiar with Photoshop and to see if we could start replicating some of the conventions of poster design that we have seen in our research. Above all, we used this task to familiarise ourself with what Photoshop can do, because it is pointless planning a print product and then finding out that you don't have the tools to achieve your ideas. Equally, as Photoshop is new to us, by experimenting we may find it can create effects we have never even thought of and this might give us some new ideas.
